Welcome to MKE, Quad
Global marketing experience company Quad, welcomed the community to its new home in Milwaukee’s Century City Tower on July 11, 2023. Quad MKE is a modern facility for recruiting and training talent while continuing to engage with Milwaukee residents as one of the largest employers in the state.
With the company’s commitment to investing in the local economy, Chairman, President and CEO of Quad, Joel Quadracci, highlighted its presence in the city by supporting job readiness and building healthier communities with partners like Running Rebels, The Brand Lab, SHARP Literacy, and JobsWork MKE.
In the lead-up to Quad MKE’s opening in Fall 2022, Quadracci said the company focused on improving transportation, and safety, and making sure the Quad work environment was welcoming as it increased recruitment efforts in Milwaukee’s central city.
Quad is working to establish equity and inclusion within its walls and the overall industry.
“Quad is a learning company. We are taking a very long-term approach. We’ve spent a lot of time with a lot of partners in the room, a lot of people in the community, to learn and listen and then come up with a strategy,” said Quadracci.
Quad MKE Collaborates with MKE Artists
Local artists Vedale Hill and Reggie Baylor were asked to be a part of the inaugural event. Their art is on the walls of Quad MKE.
Baylor’s mural “Typeface Two” was inspired by 4th graders from the Anna F. Doerfler School participating in SHARP Literacy’s Art for All program. The words in the mural relate to family and home.
Hill’s mother worked for Quad for many years, so being a part of Quad’s new vision, hits home for him.
“[Quad] gave opportunities to everybody. They were genuinely an option for most walks of life and I’ve respected that. I respected the idea that people could not just survive but make a way for their family through the careers they had,” Hill. “Now, with it being located here in the City of Milwaukee, that was a triple positive for me.”
Sustaining Careers Outside of Manufacturing
Quad MKE Site Director Brandon Ramey is excited about the increase of career opportunities for the Milwaukee community outside of manufacturing, which Quad has been known for in the past.
“We are focused on breaking down barriers and giving access to careers in marketing, HR, IT, and manufacturing. Whether it’s with Quad or another organization, we want to get people to those family-sustaining careers,” said Ramey.
Quad continues to grow with internal programs as well including participation from six interns this year.
